CDCTL01A is a dedicated communication controller ASIC running the CDBUS protocol over RS-485. It handles multi-master, non-destructive bus arbitration entirely in hardware, automatically packing, unpacking, verifying and filtering frames so your MCU stays free. Connect it through SPI and talk to the bus with simple register reads and writes.
